Alnor AirGard Fume Hood Monitors indicate safe levels of air flow in laboratory fume hoods. The Model 200, 335, and 405 Monitors are used to measure and report on exhaust flow in many critical or controlled indoor environments, including pharmaceutical and university laboratories. The AirGard 200 and AirGard 405 Monitors are simple, low-cost options for your monitoring requirements. The AirGard 335 provides the same reliable measurements with added features that make it more versatile. All these models are easy to install, making them an excellent choice for both new installations and retrofits.

The AirGard 200, 335 and 405 Fume Hood Monitors continuously monitor fume hood face velocity by measuring the air velocity of clean air from the room passing through the air inlet on the front of the monitor. Maintaining an adequate face velocity is critical for containment of hazardous substances that may be present in the fume hood.

When the face velocity drops below a user-determined level, all AirGard Fume Hood Monitors activate an audible alarm, visual alarm, and relay output. The 200 and 405 monitors indicate low face velocity with a red LED and an audible alarm. The 335 monitor has jumbo LEDs to indicate safe, marginal, or low duct exhaust and sounds an audible alarm during low face velocity conditions. The AirGard 335 Monitor also has a digital bar graph to indicate face velocity conditions, an optional digital velocity display to aid in the diagnosis of problem face velocities, and a high flow alarm to help detect excessive air velocity. In addition, all AirGard Fume Hood Monitors can report unsafe face velocity conditions to other personnel in a remote location by means of a relay output.

Installation and set-up of the Alnor AirGard Fume Hood Monitors is simple and quick. The 200 and 335 Monitors are flush mounted. The 405 Monitor is a surface-mounted version ideal for retrofitting existing fume hoods. Calibration of the AirGard 200 and 405 Monitors consists of setting the low alarm set point. The AirGard 335 Monitor requires a 2-point velocity calibration.
